Stuart Andrews

Stuart is the Head of Bell Lax’s Serious Injury and Medical Negligence Department.  He acts for individuals who have sustained serious and catastrophic injuries and for the families of those who have died because of accidents and medical negligence.

He leads a team of dedicated lawyers who are committed to delivering an excellent level of service.  Together, they fight for their clients to ensure that they are properly compensated for their injuries and losses and to help them recover from those injuries as soon as possible through rehabilitation.  Bell Lax promise to go the extra mile for their clients and to make a real difference.  Too often, accidents and medical negligence can lead to life-changing injuries and our team are there to guide clients through the process of securing compensation and getting things back on track.

On a day-to-day basis, Stuart works closely with his Associate, Wioleta Dworak.

Stuart has worked in the field of personal injury and clinical negligence for the whole of his career as a solicitor and he feels passionately about representing injured individuals who have been the unfortunate victims of the negligence of others.

He has represented clients involved in a diverse range of accidents including:

• Accidents on the road, in particular involving cyclists, motorbikes, and pedestrians.

Stuart has extensive experience of acting for vulnerable individuals such as those lacking mental capacity often as a result of serious brain trauma.  His background of dealing with cases involving injuries of the utmost severity has led to him forging links with an extensive network of Deputies, Case Managers, Occupational Therapists, Barristers and Medical Experts.

• Amputation cases arising from a range of accidents such as accidents at work and public liability accidents, including the provision of compensation for sophisticated functional and cosmetic prostheses.
• High value spinal and spinal cord injury cases.
• Representing several ex-servicemen, such as a soldier who suffered life-threatening injuries in Senegal.

Outside of work, Stuart enjoys playing golf (very badly!) and going for long walks with his wife and their Shar-Pei, Maximus. He also enjoys taking part in quizzes including with Bell Lax’s highly successful quiz team.
