Litigation Support Lawyer

Ameera completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Birmingham where she read Political Science and Philosophy. She then completed the Teach First Leadership Development Programme before deciding on a career change to the Law.

Ameera completed her conversion course at the University of Law and achieved a Commendation.

Prior to joining Bell Lax, Ameera gained valuable Court experience whilst volunteering at the ‘Personal Support Unit’. She assisted clients with applications for child arrangements, divorce and housing as well as accompanying them in Court.

In March 2020, Ameera joined Bell Lax. She began in the Commercial Disputes team where she assisted with claims for breach of contract, Director and Shareholder disputes and probate disputes including those over Wills, Estates, Trusts and Inheritance.

She is currently working on complex, high value cases with the Head of our Personal Injury Department, Stuart Andrews and Associate Solicitor, Wioleta Dworak.

These cases include:

  • Cyclist Accidents
  • Motorbike Accidents
  • Pedestrian Injuries
  • Accidents at Work;
  • Brain Injury Claims
  • Spinal Injury Claims
  • Amputations
  • Construction Site Accidents, including falls from height including scaffolding and roofs
  • Injuries arising from faulty products;
  • The negligence of doctors, dentists and other medical professionals;
  • Slips, trips and falls;
  • Accidents resulting in death.

Ameera is a self-confessed ‘people person’. She is motivated by the ability to offer support and guidance to injured and vulnerable individuals who have been the unfortunate victims of the negligence of others.

Outside of work, Ameera enjoys combining her love of cooking with travelling. She spent 6 months travelling around Southeast Asia including India, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Ameera is also a lover of literature and enjoys running to keep fit. She is fluent in Gujarati and in her not so distant past, studied Japanese.
