Craig read law at the University of Warwick where he gained an Upper Second Class Honours degree. Whilst studying for his degree Craig spent his spare time working in a variety of solicitors’ firms and different legal areas. The experience he gained helped him understand the role of solicitors, the need to understand your client’s objectives and how to work towards obtaining them. After experiencing the type of work undertaken by a solicitor Craig’s future goal, to train as a solicitor, was set.
After graduating, he studied for his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Birmingham where he obtained a distinction overall and achieved the highest grade at the College in the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence elective.
Craig works in the Accident Claims Department where the majority of his claims are funded on “no win, no fee” agreements. Craig has experience working on a variety of different cases including claims for injuries sustained in work-related accidents, road traffic collisions and on other people’s premises.
Craig assisted in negotiating a settlement for a client in excess of £55,000 following an accident at work. In this particular claim the case had been rejected by the union solicitor on the basis that there were insufficient prospects of success. Also, Craig succeeded in obtaining compensation for a client who only sought legal advice two days before the expiration of the three-year limitation period.
Outside work, Craig is a keen sportsman. He plays five-a-side football on a regular basis and is a season ticket holder at Birmingham City Football Club.
